This foundational element of our vision ensures that every performance contributes to the living legacy of original music.

We offer several ongoing series designed to celebrate original songwriting at every level. Our themed songwriter series explores specific topics and musical concepts through original work, while our songwriter showcase welcomes artists to the stage regardless of their level of development – from emerging writers sharing their first compositions to seasoned professionals debuting new material. Additionally, our archival recordingss capture full band performances, often featuring solo or duo opening sets that provide intimate glimpses into the creative process.

All events are livestreamed the evening of the performance unless explicitly stated otherwise, allowing audiences near and far to experience these original works as they happen. Following each show, we compile the footage into individual clips and audio releases, creating lasting documentation of each artist’s original material. Streaming rights for all content are shared equally between the performing artists and Texas Music Cafe, ensuring that both the creators and our mission to preserve and promote original music benefit from these recordings.
